Avaya IP Office Overview:

The Avaya IP Office phone system is a versatile communications solution that combines the reliability and ease of a traditional telephony system with the applications and advantages of an IP telephony solution. This converged communications solution can help businesses reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve customer service.


The IP Office communication solution can scale up to 384 telephones and 8 T1 trunks. It will support up to 12 expansion modules providing a combination of up to 384 analog, digital, IP, and 3rd party SIP telephones. Additional analog trunks can be achieved by using Expansion Modules. Optionally, SIP trunks are also supported.


The Auto Attendant application enables callers to route their calls to the relevant department/person without the need to speak to an operator/receptionist. Receptionists/operators can take advantage of the SoftConsole GUI application to present a professional view of the business to all callers. TAPI (Telephone Applications Programming Interface) support enables IP Office to be linked to Microsoft Outlook and other popular desktop applications for screen pops and PC-based telephony management.


Investment protection is offered through handsets supported by several Avaya platforms, and provides a migration path that is forward and backwards compatible.

IP Office Select: With support for the largest IP Office customers with up to 3,000 users and 150 networked locations, IP Office Select offers resilency through a duplex server option and over 500 ports for audio and conferencing.

Avaya One-X Mobile provides an easy-to-use, powerful set of productivity enhancing capabilities through Avaya one-X Client Enablement Services. One-X Mobile improves reachability simultaneously ring up to four devices (desk phone, smartphone, home phone, tablet, etc.) with one-number portability. Seamlessly transfer calls back and forth between devices. Users have functionalities such as presence, add call/conference, hold, resume, transfer and park calls. Avaya One-X Portal for IP Office is a server-based application that the user accesses with their web browser. The Avaya One-X portal for IP Office is an application that provides users control of their telephone from a networked PC. Avaya One-X Portal for IP Office can be used with any IP Office extension; analog, digital or any IP telephones, wired or wireless, and is available as part of the IP Office office worker, power user or teleworker editions.
